FD Interest Rate Big Update: In the case of Fixed Deposit, after State Bank of India (SBI), Bank of India (BOI) and HDFC Bank (HDFC Bank) have given big gifts to their customers. Recently State Bank of India had increased the interest rates of Fixed Deposits (FD Interest Rate). At the same time, after this Bank of India and HDFC have also increased the interest rate on fixed deposits. Now up to 7% interest will be available on FDs of less than Rs 2 crore. The new interest rate has come into force in banks from January 10.

After this increase made by the bank, senior citizens will be given an additional benefit of 0.50 percent per annum on Fixed Deposit. Explain that senior citizens will get 7.55 percent annual interest (FD Interest Rate) on FD of 444 days, while 7.25 percent interest will be given on FD with a short duration of 2 to 5 years. Fixed Deposit Interest Rate for General Customers
The new interest rates on fixed deposits issued by Bank of India have come into effect from January 10. For general customers, interest will be given between 3 percent to 6.75 percent on other deposits maturing in 7 days to 10 years (Fixed Deposit Interest Rate). Note that the revised interest rates will be applicable for NRO and NRE deposits. In Bank of India, if you will be given 4.50% interest (FD Interest Rate) on FD of 46 days to 179 days. At the same time, 5% interest will be available on 180-269 days and 6% interest on FDs of less than 2 years. Apart from this, 7.05 percent interest will be available on 444 days Fixed Deposit!

Talking about fixed deposits above 5 years, 6 percent interest will be given on fixed deposits from 5 years to less than 8 years and from 8 years to less than 10 years (Fixed Deposit Interest Rate)! However, for clarity, do visit your branch once. Senior citizens are being given an additional benefit of 0.50 percent (FD Interest Rate). After the increase in interest rates, now Bank of India is offering Fixed Deposit interest ranging from 3% to 7.05%.
